Level 2: Advanced

Fundamentals of

SomaVeda® Thai Yoga

Deepen your expertise in Thai Yoga with our SomaVeda® Level 2 course, designed to establish a foundational practice. Known as the Southern or Royal Method, this course integrates teachings from three esteemed Royal traditions: Buddhai Sawan, Wat Po, and Anantasuk schools.

Course Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Training: Learn the SomaVeda® Therapeutic 7 Day Protocol, featuring 5 distinct Attitudes or Vinyasas and over 150 therapeutic postures.

  • Anatomy and Physiology: Understand the fundamental elements and theories of Classical Thai & Classical Indian Ayurveda anatomy and physiology.

  • Holistic Principles: Explore the Seven Chakras, Ten Sen or Prana Nadis, Wind Gates, Asana (therapeutic postures), Meridians, and Acupoints.

  • Meditative Practice: Grasp the concept of bodywork as a form of meditation, enhancing both practitioner and recipient experience.

  • Clinical Applications: Learn the benefits and contraindications of specific postures and their applications in a clinical or professional treatment environment.

Course Details:

  • Sophisticated Beginner Class: A continued introduction to the SomaVeda® Certified Thai Yoga Practitioner program (CTP).

  • Certification: Upon completion, receive a certificate of completion for Level 2. Note that graduates are not yet professionals of SomaVeda® Thai Yoga; full certification requires completing the entire CTP course (164 hours).

  • Educational Focus: This course is intended for educational purposes, providing a robust foundation in Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy.

Certified SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Practitioner Program (CTP)

Unlock the full potential of traditional healing arts with our Certified SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Practitioner Program (CTP1). This comprehensive course integrates Indigenous Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, and Traditional Thai Massage, known as Traditional Thai Yoga Therapy, Nuad Thai, or Nuad Boran. It is a sacred, spiritually based, vitalistic, and holistic healing art that welcomes individuals with an open mind, compassionate heart, and a desire to help others.

Program Highlights:

  • Holistic Integration: Emphasizes indigenous, traditional, natural, and Native American Medicine, Religious Therapeutics, and healing ceremonies.

  • Mind/Body Approach: Incorporates Energy Psychology/EFT and the proprietary SomaVeda® BET-Marma/Acupoint “Tapping” systematic approach.

  • Comprehensive Training: Includes two levels of professional Energy Psychology/EFT and one level of BET tapping integration for professional clinicians.

  • Extensive Coursework: Total of 164 core hours, with 35 hours conducted online.

Coursework Includes:

  • Level I (In-Person): Fundamentals of SomaVeda® Thai Yoga – 18 hours (A complete basic healing vinyasa incorporating all five body attitudes).

  • Level 2 (In-Person): Ayurvedic, Southern Style SomaVeda® Thai Yoga – 48 hours (The SomaVeda® Therapeutic Day Protocol: Seven unique daily sessions including all five body attitudes: Supine, Side, Prone, Abdomen, and Seated applications).

  • SomaVeda® Bio-Tap®/EFT Professional Skills 1 & 2

  • SomaVeda® Ayurveda and Thai Yoga Religious Therapeutics Theory and Practice: Indigenous Traditional Thai Medicine, Ayurveda Theory, Cosmology, Sen Lines, Assessments, Indications, Contra-indications, Chakra Theory, and Korosot Astrology – 36 hours online.

Clinical Applications and Development:

  • Tailored programs for clients based on Ayurvedic assessments and guidelines.

  • Includes SomaVeda® Legal Guidelines and Practices for Ministers and Healing Professionals coursework.

Certification and Practice:

  • Graduates, under the NAIC Legal Shield, are qualified to practice and provide health and wellness services for Spirit, Mind, and Body in all 50 states and US territories.

 FAQs

  • For your appointment, wear loose, cotton clothing. Avoid lotions/oils on your skin, bulky jewelry, and watches. Stay hydrated, avoid eating an hour before, and power off electronics to minimize distractions.

  • You may speak or be silent during your session, whichever fits your mood. Please feel comfortable to speak up about the amount of pressure you'd like to receive, your therapist is open to feedback. During a session it is important to have a mindful awareness on your breath and the physical sensations that arise throughout the session. Small talk does prohibit from being fully present.

  • It is very individualized. For some, it is beneficial to receive Thai Yoga 1-2x per week at the beginning to work through the primary issue and then recommended to follow a maintenance plan either bi-weekly or once per month.

  • Yes! Minors will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

  • Yes, we offer a discounted rate on a purchase of a series of sessions. We also offer memberships!

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing, especially long pants and socks. Avoid heavy meals, alcohol, and drugs beforehand. Stay hydrated. Avoid colognes, perfumes, and makeup. You may bring a change of clothes, electrolyte water, and optional items like a book or headphones. Sessions last 20 minutes at 160F; start with 10 minutes if needed.

  • Enhance your holistic experience at Bodhi Sanctuary with our signature Crystal Singing Bowl Vibrational Cleanse. Immerse yourself in the soothing frequencies emitted by the crystal bowls, balancing your chakras and leaving you feeling energized and at peace. Start and end your session with this transformative practice to elevate your well-being and inner harmony.

  • Add the soothing benefits of laying upon the BioMat during your Thai Yoga session. This mat is a unique combination of Infrared light rays, Negative Ions, Amethyst and Tourmaline crystals. It’s a safe and natural way to find relief from minor spasms, strains, joint pain, muscle pain and more.

  • Enhance your Thai Yoga experience with cranial electro stimulation which uses harmonic frequencies to help balance the brain's chemistry. This empowers the brain to balance brain chemicals and brain function. 

  • We accept cash, card, & check. Although we do not accept Insurance we can accept HSA & FSA.

  • We require notification at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time if you need to change or cancel your Thai Yoga session. Clients who need to cancel with less than 24 hours will be held responsible for the full price of the scheduled service. When we have less than 24 hours notice, it is challenging for us to fill that time reserved for you. We understand that emergencies and sickness happens. If you arrive late, we can only provide service for the remaining time scheduled. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to appointment.

    For our trainees: No refunds. This training requires 2 weeks notice of cancellation by phone or email. You will receive a studio credit, less $100 cancellation fee per registration. If cancelled within 2 weeks, your payment is forfeited, and no studio credit will be given. No shows will receive no credit.
